Nearly at the end we saw the Americans passing . Why are they running next to empty vehicles ? They will be very tired after a while and unable to fight! Does Ghobadi want to show the stupidity of this war ?

It is very simple. This parade is part the usual military decorum of the great powers (France, Great Britain and USA). The image of an army with numerous soldiers, fully equipped, where each one as a gun is much more powerful than what Kurdistan was used to witness under Saddam. They are running next to the vehicles to show the refugees that they finally are present and that they do not fear this region. It is a commonly used military tactic.
