If those of you can recall, he was the cute little boy who was crying most of the movie because of his utmost dedication to Satellite. He was SO FUNNY for such a small actor! I absolutely loved his character, what a sweetheart!

All in all definitely a victory for this film, but I still don't know why Satellite was turned away from the Americans at the end.
Shirkooh is my favorite character of the movie. I saw this film first without translation, and I saw that part where he first tell Satellite that he was slapped because he didn't want the old man to take the bike. I just laugh so hard, even if it was a sad moment, because he was crying. But I could resist, he was so funny when he slapped himself to tell Satellite how it went. HAHAHAHA, I'm still laughing!
shareI happened to see these film for the 1st time yesterday night. I'm still crying I can believe that is what we have become as society. I think Satellite walk the opposite way because he realize everything was a lie. It was just a matter of Americans gaining territory more than helping them (which at the end he doesn't know whats worse). He realize there was no hope for them no matter what so what difference does it make to walk your on way or follow the crowd. Well, at the end I think its one of the greatest war movies I ever seen in my life and I hope it does make my life change for better and trully.

Kak Yusuf I agree with you. I LOVED the little boy. I also think he is the cutest baby I have ever seen. I watch this movie over and over only because of him. I cried so much when he died even after the movie ended. By the way, where are you from?

shareI also loved Shirkooh's character,not only for his funny sense,but for his loyalty towards Satellite. Remember when he gives satellite those two presents,he ask "How did you talk to the americans" and he says I learned from you.
shareI also like the little boy - I loved the mine scene when he tells "satellite" to not to go into the minefield - and he cheekily volunteers the boy with one leg! The one legged boy telling him to shut up otherwise he might end up with no legs. Funny little guy..
