THIS FLICK IS MISTAKE

How Forsyth could ever agree! Swayze is *beep* (as usual) and more then a 50% of the movie has nothing to do with the book (and the book is perfect). What's up wit the idiotic idea of virus that causes death? What about Sonia and Elena - why these characters were made up? Where are the political visions which are found in this brillant novel? Forsyth is out of his mind...

ARE YOU GONNA BARK ALL DAY LITTLE DOGGY... OR ARE YOU GONNA BITE ?

Well, I haven`t read the book. But this movie was shot in Bulgaria. As a bulgarian I hate this movie. I liked Patrick Swaizee in "Ghost" but here he is terrible. He looks drunk all the movie. And in the movie the National Culture Pallace in Sofia was drug factory or something like that. It is insult. Great insult.

Sorry for the bad english. I hope you will understand me.

Hey tiger, who the heck cares about that?? It's a MOVIE. Do you think anyone outside Bulgaria cares about that? If the building looked good for that use then let them use it for pete's sake. "It is insult. Great insult." Oh please, loosen up and stop taking everything so serious.

The book ends with the introduction of constitutional monarchy and a new Tsar in Russia.

This idea might sound reasonable in Great Britain with her long tradition of constitutional monarchy, but hardly in Russia. So it was quite reasonable to delete this part of the plot. The idea with the virus attack was not-too-good either and does not sound like Frederick Forsyth.

In my opinion the rest was boiled down to action and shootings, so despite the not-so-good idea of a new Russian Tsar I preferred the book.

Swayze did not make a very healthy impression in the movie, and I hope he is not actually ailing.

This film is a good old fashioned spy story. The action is lively, the acting is good, the plot is well put together and very similar to most James bond movies without the sex scenes.

Patrick bergin is a very convincing villain. Patrick Swayze may not be a Connery or a Brosnan but handles his part well . this is very very loosely based on the novel .

overall it is pure escapism and should be treated as such and not dissected for moral statements etc.

Good movie.

For the record this film if *beep* awesome! Komarov is a legend and provides a role model for the future leaders of the Orthodox world!

(PS the Israelis and South Africans were working on viruses of this nature that target different groups!)
