Who else got this free in the paper today?

Looking a gift horse in the mouth as well are you? Shameful ;)

I got it free with the "Daily Mail" UK newspaper on Sat 14th April. Why do you ask?
Incidentally the running time is stated as 190 minutes earlier on this page, but the DVD runs 166 minutes. What happened to the other 24?

So did I, I was just joking. If you got it free in the paper and then came here to look it up to see if it was any good.... never mind.

As it's a TV movie, maybe the person who originally timed it included all the advert breaks ;) You'd think that as PAL movies run 17.5% slower, the time would be longer over here. Who knows what happened to all the footage, I don't think it's a great loss to cinema.

I' already given my copy away, without seeing it!

I got it free but the disc kept freezing and missing out whole chunks of the story so I had to buy it (I'm a Ben Cross fan so it was no biggie) it's just annoying that the only decent film you get free is the one which doesn't work properly, hey-ho.

reply

who said it's a decent film?

reply

The film was edited from two parts on TV to one part for DVD sale in the UK only. You are lucky to get 24 minutes less. Actually, part one was reasonably good, part two was ridiculous.
