Strength question

I don't recall thinking about this the first time I saw the movie but on a rewatch I started questioning how someone as tiny as Hayley could get a guy the size of Jeff up on the stool. Not a complaint - I'm just curious. Would someone that little be able to winch him up there? Also, with the amount of stuff she had in that satchel, especially the medical text and the rope, wouldn't that be really heavy for someone of her slight build?

As I said, not a complaint and not even a nitpick, just a curiosity question.

I doubt she could do it. If it were I and was puny, the first thing to do is get a car jack. Put the chair against the bed (wheels first). Drag Jeff into the chair (feet first) so he is in sitting position once you raise the chair. Nudge the chair back a few feet then place some makeshift chocks on the rear wheels. Jack him up into an erect position (no puns intended.) Once he is sitting upright liberally apply the duct tape for future restraining purposes and if feeling mischievous burn him with cigarettes

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

Yeah I'm probably as short as her but back in the day I was very strong from strength training with body builders and power lifters. No way can I even imagine I would have been able to winch him up without thr help of a 4WD.

Thanks for your answerđź‘Ť I just found it interesting to question.

I doubt that's possible. I couldn't do it, that's for sure. Dragging somebody who's out would be a challenge, getting him onto a chair, table or that counter? In a standing position? Not going to happen.

PS: Dani, is that you?

That rope she was using was a climbing rope so she'd been to an outdoor shop. I assumed that she used it over one of those exposed rafters and combined it with something like an 8 ring to leverage him up. We know about the exposed rafters because of the later scene where she has him standing with a noose around his neck.

You mean like a tackle? Would make sense.
Thanks for your answer.

Yes, like tackle but with rock climbing versions it could be small and light enough for her backpack

No way she could do it.

Thats when I lost interest..It was too incredible to believe she could get him on that stool

Def. not! But the camera blurs & fades so we know she did something but not what. She's resourceful enuf to figure a way....
