Observations

1. why did they not show Erin Moran answering a question posed to her? Each cast member got an audience question but when it was her turn they cut to something else.

2. Was it really necessary to bring in the two actors who played chuck? And then to have one of them say "its like coming home" Geeez..how cheesy was that. Why not bring in Spike (the fonz's little nephew) or Ginny Picalo while your at it.

3. Gerry Marshal may be a great producer but was a bit frantic as host.

I enjoyed the special very much. Here are some of my observations:

1. Yes, Garry Marshall was a bit frantic as a host. A funny Guy.

2. They should have had Ted McGinley there, since he was a central character for four years. I know he was in the softball game and some other clips.

3. Why not continue the fire at Arnolds segment with how they rebuilt it and then show more of the "new' arnolds? It was a common set backdrop from 1980-84!

4. Too many rapid cuts/edits during the last hour "gang all together" parts

5. Pat Morita should have been part of the gang the whole time, not just a "special guest"

6. They didn't go into why Ralph left when Ritchie did and what is he up to now?

7. Spike SHOULD have been there - I think he was at the softball game, too!

mmmm...steamed hams!

Re: Don Most leaving Happy Days at the same time Ron Howard did. In the IMDb 'Where are they now' section, it was reported his contract was done and it was his decision not to go back - he felt the scripts weren't going anywhere and were stagnant and wanted to do more as an actor and not play just only that one character.

Pat Morita and Al Molinaro DEFINITELY should have been on the panel rather than the 2 Chucks. But it was mentioned that fans always ask about the 2 Chucks. (why??) I guess it's an oddity...like the 2 Darrens on Bewitched.

When it was Erin's turn, rather than ask her a question, they showed a clip reel about her growing up on Happy Days and eventually marrying Chachi. Then they let her comment on how she felt about all of it. She was in tears. Ultimately, she had a bigger 'moment' than most of the others on the panel. She just spoke less. Tom Bosley didn't speak much either.

Why was Al only in achieve footage? I thought that maybe he had died but that is not the case. Anyone know?

reply

He is not dead, he's older now and living in Wisconsin.

Here is the answer to your question.

He was invited and he wanted to be there. However the shooting of this special interfered with his shooting schedule for Hope and Faith that just started shooting a new season, so therefore he could not attend. He was at the softball game because the game transpired when Hope and Faith was on summer hiatus.

As for Pat Martia, I'm not sure. I think he was late arriving there so once he arrived they brought him out as a special guest star. I still can't believe he is gone.

Even though Danny (the little boy that Fonzie adopted ) appeared in the last 2 shows , they should have included Danny Ponce (the actor that played him)
