I just watched it on YOU TUBE. Check it out.....pretty awesome, if only a little too short for my tastes. I could hear about this flick for about as long as it takes to watch it. Fascinating behind the scenes tales.

shareYes I agree--considering the great book it was based on and the mayhem in the Hollywood film industry this caused, I would have thought 78 minutes was way too brief.
I think of the documentary on the making of "Cleopatra" is the best example of the making of a movie that went out of control and I think "Final Cut" would have been a subject in this league. This was included in the 40th anniversary edition of "Cleopatra" and perhaps less than 30 years is a little too soon for some people still working in the industry.
As it's not on dvd, if "Heaven's Gate" ever makes it to bluray (uncut, premiere version please), perhaps a revised and expanded version of this documentary would be great.
