Question about a line in the film

Having Kurdish roots, I liked this romantic interfaith movie and thought it was quiet interesting, light-hearted, and funny but it also conveyed important political messages.
I just have one question and it maybe stupid but during the wedding party, why did the guy (I think Howar) say "No Zina!" many times to the woman who wanted to offer Arabic sweets to David's family?
