english DVD version??????

I have seen this film at a Vestival in Vienna last Oktober, and I was really surprised !!! Now I am desperately looking for an english (subtiteled) DVD Version. I have been to Thailand in February this year but only found a Thai- DVD without any subs which i couldn`t really use. Maybe anybody can help me...???

The Singapore VCD edition has good English subtitles, and is very affordable- only about $S12 (about 8 US dollars). I don't know where to get it online though. I believe it was also just released on DVD in the UK. It also (obviously) has English subtitles but is pricey.

The Thai DVD system is quite annoying. Pretty much all Thai movies are released in at least SOME theatres with English subtitles. So, subtitles exist for virtually any released. When the movies are released on DVD, only about half of them have English subtitles. Nowadays, if the Thai want to release a movie internationally, or sell it to other markets then the DVD will usually NOT have any English subtitles. If it's a stupid, sex comedy or low-budget horror movie, then chances are they WILL put the subtitles on the DVD. So, most of the well-received Thai movies (Shutter, Buppah Rahtree, Maid, The Overture, The Tin Mine, Citizen Dog, etc.) don't have English subtitles on the Thai-edition DVDs. This sucks!!

I don't know if you will revisit this board but I was so happy to see your message but when I went to order it I saw that the Region code is 3. Do you know if there is a dvd with a region code available for the U.S./Canada ?

Thx.
