sound fx used in cartoon

anyone else notice that many of the sound fx used are from sci fi or cult tv shows or movies. For example, though i might b crazy, in the opening scenes while the intro music plays when nova says her "nova" her move she pulls sounds exactly like a Stargate chevron engaging, also her mutiple rapid punch move sounds exactly like a P90 being fired, also many times there is a sound that's exactly like a Zat Gub being fired. No joke this guys if you know Stargate then rewatch some of the cartoon's episodes, also some flying ships sound like pop-racers from star wars, obviously also the light saber-esque weapons sound like lightsabers, what else though would they sound like? The Million Dollar Man sound crops up quite often also when slow-mo fight scenes occur. Play this game at home folks, kinda sad, but cool.
