Things in common with Star Wars.

I can't help notice how many things in S.R.M.T.H.F.G are similar to Star Wars. Like in Antauri's masters. Was that totaly Star Wars or what.
Other relations include....
-SPRX-77 is totally Han Solo as a red monkey. Neither take anything serious and constantly flirts. (I believe Han Solo calls Luke Skywalker "kid" sometimes just like SPRX-77)
-The way Antauri sacrifices himself in I,Chiro is similar to the way Obie-Wan (Forgive spelling) does in Star Wars. And Chiro has a conection with Antauri like Luke does to Obie-Wan. (Again, I can't remember how to spell his name.)
- Antauri's "mind over matter" power is used by the masters of the force in Star Wars. The Power Primate is probaly also based on the "Force".
-In "Shadow over Shuggazoom" Antaur tells Chio it is he fortold he would give up after Chiro gets out of the way. In Star Wars, Luke gives up after he sees Yoda lifts the ship out of the water.
List any other similarities you find between Star Wars and S.R.M.T.H.F.G

Well both have a good person turn completly evil. They are The Alchemist/The Skeleton King & Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

The scene in Lords of Soturix 7 when Chiro was in the desert by himself, and the yellow eyes in the shadows reminded me a lot of when R2D2 was rolling along by himself through that canyon thingy-ma-bob... :S hmmm
Sometimes i wonder if they do it on purpose...

reply

And just to compound it, The Skeleton King is voiced by Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker. It's almost overpowering...

reply

LOL!!! Here's one:

There isn't a "Luke, I am your father!!!" thing like that...or is there? (Chiro, I am your father!!!) LOL!!!!!!

reply

There is, kind of.

When Gibson and Chiro are heading through the Citadel of Bone to rescue the rest of the team they find a room full of stuffed toys and an outfit Chiro wore as a little kid. (which Chiro was wearing in last week's epi when he was turned into a little kid by Mandarin)

In The Stranded Seven (I think...) when the mantises were attacking, despite being in a lot of pain and low on energy, Antauri reaches out and uses the Power Primate to pull a lever and let loose a bunch of bombs.

I never thought about Sparx as Han but now that it's mentioned, I agree, it fits. Which would make Nova, Leia. Total love/hate relationship, and she's certainly one tough cookie! And she's got a kind of brother/sister loving relationship with Chiro.

How about what Chrio and Antauri wore in "Antauri's Masters"? They looked like Jedi!

reply

They did!

I always thought that the shape of the citidel of bone was a lot like an imperial star destroyer.

The fact that General Greivous is almost completely machine like the monkeys.

In the episode where SPRX-77 gets trapped on scrapperton's base thingy, Otto picks up a thing and says "Hey, a TK-421, do know what I can build with this?"
TK-421 is the Stormtrooper Luke dress up as in Episode 4.

Also, in Episode 8, Thingy, When Gibson gets hurt, they put him in a tank thats if filled with a liquid that can heal him (bacta?)
