Killing government agents...

It is probably just his character, but why did Mugen kill the government agents in episode 13. I know Mugen is not really a good guy and done loads of crap, but murder? I understand all other fights and things like duels because of the culture in Japan, but even back then pirating was a bad thing.

And I am not really talking about the past, I am talking about where he willingly chose to kill gov't agents. I guess it was in "self-defense" since they were the ones attaching him, but the plan was originally to take them by surprise and kill them all.

Meh, I am probably overreacting. In addition, that time had it be normal for a woman being sold as a prostitute and no one really cares. lol

There is always a choice.

I guess, because Mugen is that kind of a character. He didn't give a second thought to attacking Jin as well, remember?

Being sold to prostitution, unfortunately was the reality for women then.
