It is in my all kinds and genres top 20. Which would make it a no.1 in a top 5 animes. It's a really great thing to watch.

Now just where am I supposed to fit in?

reply

First and foremost, I really enjoyed the show, in fact I thought it was great. I thought that this definitely had one of the best soundtracks of any anime I've ever seen. With that being said, I personally would not place this in my top five or top ten for that matter. Definitely in my top twenty. I think that Jin's background (him being forced to kill his teacher Mariya) but Mugen's past as a criminal/pirate and Fuu deciding to find her father was okay. Great series regardless.

it's my favorite anime of all time.

Among Anime series:

1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Trigun
3. Rurouni Kenshin
4. Neon Genesis Evagelion
5. Naruto
6. Bleach
7. Samurai Champloo

~108th. Fullmetal Alchemist

As far as films go, I think Samurai X, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Akira, Jin-Roh, Grave of the Fireflies are more entertaining than Champloo.

The episodes of Champloo seemed to blend in at times. Meanwhile, it appeared to be Cowboy Bebop (2 guys [1 reserved, 1 near-sporadic] and 1 girl fighting together with agendas of their own) a few centuries back, but almost monotonous. Champloo doesn't have a definitive protagonist and long-time rival, as is the case with Bebop, Naruto, et al.
