Just found out. :-)

Hopefully, they'll release it over here soon, or, at the very least, someone will put out a good bootleg NTSC version.

My (UK) copies arrived today. My sister and I watched it all the time when we were little (I'm sure they used to repeat it during the summer for years in a row, along with 'Silas') - nostalgia got the better of me. ;)

The dubbing was terrible if ever there was a reason to learn German this would be it.

Yeah, the dubbing was terrible. It was like something out of a 70's Kung Fu movie.

Personally, though, I find it kind of amusing. They should've just used subtitles, but I guess then the voice actors would've been screwed out of a job.

Subtitles on a prime-time kids TV show?!!?

European children's dramas were quite a common sight on British television during the seventies and early eighties, the dubbing went largely without comment at the time and (like many things from this period) has only really become ridiculed since.
