Did Sue ever find out about Mrs Sucksby?

I find Mrs Sucksby to be the most evil in the entire story. She was willing to put Sue into the mad house. While Sue may not be her real daughter she did raise her and have a strong relationship with her.

Sue on the other hand was unquestioning of Mrs Sucksby's intentions. I have two questions about Sue and Mrs Sucksby:

1) When Sue escaped from the madhouse and retured to London she sent Charles into a tailor store with a message for Mrs Sucksby about how Maud deceived her etc. But how would Sue have still thought Mrs Sucksby to be innocent at that time? It doesn't make sense with the original plan which Mrs Suscksby, Sue and gentleman had planned (as in the plan known to Sue) - they planned for Maud to be in the madhouse while Gentleman, Sue and Mrs Sucksby share a bite of Maud's fortune. How then would Sue still think Mrs Sucksby to be innocent when Mrs Sucksby is friendly around Maud (ie. nothing like their original plan).

2) In the end did Sue ever find out that Mrs Sucksby was the highest level villan all along. I know when someone read out the will to Sue she kind of understood what had happened and that they were switched at birth. But did Sue really know that Mrs Sucksby was the one who was willing to abandon her and send her to the mad house?

Sorry this is so long!

For the question 1: As I am aware of regarding the book, Sue did not know that Mrs. Sucksby was into the plan because she was sure that Mrs. Sucksby would save her during her time in the madhouse. She only concidered guilty Maud and the Gentelman for putting her in the madhouse. Even when Sue enters her house and see Maud and Mrs. Sucksy, she does not consider the fact that Mrs. Sucksby is involved in the plan.

For the question 2: Regarding the details in the book, I don't think that Sue knew that Mrs. Sucksby was the one who was willing to send her to the madhouse because Sue felt Mrs. Sucksby as her mother.

I hope that helps :)

In my opinion, Mrs. Sucksby did not care about Sue at all. She saw Sue as her way to be rich.

No Sue never knew Mrs Sucksby was involved. Though she may have partly realised once she read the will, but Maud would never tell her the full truth.

I think in her own way Mrs Sucksby did care, she showed regret at the end. It's just her love of Maud and the money was stronger than her love for Sue.

I'd die for you. I love you. I love you so much it's killing me.
