Performances

I found the movie overall okay and I cried at the end, but what's bothering me is that it could have been significantly better, if the performances by the two actors who played the brothers had been better. I found Won Bin (younger brother) sometimes even annoying - he overacted all the time. It was only at the very end, where his acting seemed natural.
Shin Ha-Kyun is one of my favorite Korean actors, but here he played the older brother in such an odd, reserved way that he sometimes came across as if he was mentally retarded. Maybe this was intentional, but to me it was rather distracting.
