was very disappointed with the ending - just dragged the entire movie down.
the back and forth at the border with the passport schtick was annoying as hell.
somebody needed to come up with a better resolution.

Erm, yes. I think you may have stumbled upon what we call The Entire *beep* Point. You see my little friend, in a film such as this which deals with real people living real lives in reality, you often get resolutions like that. If you don't like it, there are other films that might be more your speed. Might I suggest Lethal Weapon 3.
