Can I just say..

..that The Echo is hands down the scariest movie I've ever watched!

I first watched this movie when i was 17 years old, and prior to that, I was never one who easily gets scared watching a horror flick and what not. Before Sigaw, I've watched mostly Japanese, Korean and Chinese horror films but they all pale in comparison to Sigaw. The Ring, The Eye, Dark Water, The Tale of Two Sisters, Ju-On are universally accepted as crowd's favourites. In my opinion, these movies have their scary moments but they are also very laughable at the same time. And the Hollywood remakes of these movie are just... pathetic (for lack of a better word).

However, Sigaw is really the one movie that made me want to stay away from all horror flicks for the rest of my life. I'm not sure why this film scared me so much.. I guess it's the fact that everything happened within the confines of the main character's room. The distorted image on the ceiling, the knocking on the door, the little girl under the bed.. I think all of that was just too much for my faint heart to handle. But then again, it may just be me.

Honestly, this movie should be given more credit! It is somewhat under-rated, I think. That's just my humble opinion though.

You should watch Shutter, it's a Thai film, the scariest movie I've ever seen.
