FANTASTIC movie

I'm not even going to look through older posts, I'm used to imdb boards and they tend to lean towards the negative.
I just wanted to say that everything from the acting to the writing was brilliant in my opinion, Michael Sheen did an exceptional job of playing not just 'someone with a disability', but a person, with his own personality, that well, just happens to not speak too clearly and moves a bit odd.
I didn't know it was a true story until the movie ended and it's just so inspiring to know that if you put your mind to it, you can make a difference, beat the odds, anyone can.
That's all, now I'm going to go recommend it to everyone that crosses my path, I don't care if they'd prefer Tron Legacy, this they have to see.

Thank you. you picked up on what we tried to do with Art. most films showing characters with disabilities just focus on showing the disability. With Art we wanted to show the person not the impairment. we wanted the audience to see Art for who he was not just what he had.
Art was pleased with the result and I felt as if I had gone back in time to spend a week with a dear friend.

Thank you for your comment.

You just summed up exactly how I felt about the movie! I've always loved Michael's work and he is just brilliant in this role! He made me laugh, cry and get so angry at the ignorance of people toward others with disabilities! A definite must see for anyone with a heart!

Purrrr!
