I've read a few different reviews on Amazon that say the director's cut is 91 mins long, whereas the butchered version is around 83 mins. I've just ordered the 'Director's Cut' (we'll see...) from a Marketplace seller, so I should find out by the end of the week. I'm pretty good at sorting the uncut from the butchered when it comes to horror movies. No-one's said anything about a 105 min version, though.

I've got the Director's Cut. The clue was the introduction from the director. It's 91 mins long, and is very bloody.

Including the deleted scenes in the Bonus Features section, my DVD comes to a total of 104 mins 49 seconds (the movie's 91 mins 37 secs). I'm guessing the deleted scenes are the ones the director cut out of the original print. There's no good stuff omitted; it's just mainly talk, and Sven Garrett driving round Vegas in his flash car.

The confusion about the running times also confused me. But IMDB says 105 min. against the DVD's 91 min. I read this on horrortalk.com: "This is due to the fact that the original cut of the film, which had a short festival run, was not the version Palumbo intended. This version is his vision, and has been edited down for much tighter pacing, as well as having more gore scenes added".

But I still don't think the 91 min. version is very good. It is way too hasty and much of the dialogue doesn't make any sense. It is a weird "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!" film not worth your time. Go watch "Hostel" instead, now THAT is a blast :-)

The work-print version of M.S.P is the 105m. copy that people are referring to. It includes scenes with the fortune teller and the cool shot of Sven running down a highway towards the camera, spitting blood, which are NOT included in the deleted scene section on the 'director's cut' version that was sold through Fright Flix. These scenes are only available on the work-print copy of the film.

I've seen the unrated version and the director's cut and I wouldn't waste my time or money on either one of them. This movie sucks on so many levels. Actually it doesn't just suck, it omni-sucks. The only good thing about the director's cut is the unintentional comedy and the shorter running time. I guess some of the boobs were nice as well but that's a compliment to the girls, not the movie.

I'd say that warning people about this bs "movie" is very much on topic bro. Seriously, I pity the fool who wastes his money on MSP thinking he's gonna see some far out slasher/expl flick.
