Please tell me which version I've seen?

-Spoilers-

It Ran for 1hr 30min 59 secs, framerate 25.0

Started with him taking taking photos of a single bloody corpse.

As the film went on the editing seemed random/haphazard, you didn't see his girlfriend die?

His girlfriends sister survived and was last seen by the roadside.

This is frequently referred to as one of the most unwatchably gruesome movies in history, but they seemed to cut away at the chainsaw bit? It just seemed really bloody rather than anything really graphic.

I found a website that reportedly shows a scene cut from the movie by Lions Gate, the "bench press assault scene", but that scene was definitely IN my version.

I'm beginning to think this WAS the Directors cut that I saw?

Did you see the chainsaw in head part, the rape scene, and the part where the baby get's stabbed?

reply

when you say baby, do you mean the child in the public toilets?

reply

There was a scene with a baby in it. But the baby was not shown being harmed. I can find no mention of a scene where a baby is physically hurt in this film anywhere on the net. Except in this thread!

I think the baby stabbing is just a bunch of talk. Because you and I have seen the same version, I can tell. The baby's mother is killed, and the baby is hold up by the photographer, but he doesn't stab it - he just places the razor on the cradle.

Sigh, the infant does NOT get harmed in the uncut version or ANY version of the film...the young girl (approx. 10-12 years old) in the restroom in the park DOES get harmed.

Had to clear that up.

So the Lionsgate version is highly edited? I just watched the beginning of it. He takes a girl to his room to photograph her then he leaves the room and you don't see her again.
Then he meets a hooker in a hotel room and throws her in the bath tub. Right before he slashes her throat they cut to to the two young girls.

So that was the edited version??

reply

If you saw no blood during the murder of the prostitute in the bathtub, then yes, your version is edited...

reply

I just wasted 90 minutes of my life watching this on FearNet on demand. I believe this was a heavily censored version because there was very little on-camera gore, just naked screaming broads, then some blood and a quick cut. I don't recall any young girl in park scene, nor necrophilia, nor blood in a tub. It also didn't make a whole lot of sense, but that's another issue.

I just watched the OnDemand cut last night DetectiveCarruthers, and I saw what you saw. Apparently very heavily edited and didn't make sense. I never saw the girlfriend get killed, but the little girl found her shoes. I also don't get the ending.

Yes the baby does not get hurt he hold the baby in the air for a bit then puts him down the problem most people thought disturbing is when the baby actually finds his dead mother I dont know if he walks or crawls (been awhile since I seen it) and anyway the baby is crying and then sits beside his mothers corpse trying to get her to wake up this is in a way heart breaking as you tend to feel sorry for the baby in this situation anyway if you really want to get the uncut(directors cut) then go to xploited cinema's website
