GOOD GRIEF!

I don't know why everyone is picking on the newer movies or the Muppets or the new jokes! I am a major Muppets freak/Wizard of Oz fan (it's a sad state of affairs, but I enjoy it) and I happen to be excited for this film. Everyone seems to be complaining so here's my imput.
First of all, Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island were both distributed by Disney. People keep mentioning how the company will be doing better now that they are owned by Disney, but this will make the second partnership between the two companies and Disney hasn't been doing very good business lately (*cough* laid off all the animators *cough*lost pixar *cough*home on the range). Quite frankly I love Muppet Xmas Carol and Treasure Island. Heck, I'm a history major and my piracy professor used Tim Curry's song in that film for lecture. He proclaimed it to be 'one of the greatest pirate films of all time'.
Second of all, all the complaining that Muppets aren't the same without Jim Henson. Of course this is true. However, everyone talks like the Muppets were always the same over the decades. Apparently none of you have sat down and watched the Muppet Movie and Muppets Take Manhatten in the same night. There's a huge difference between the two because there's new people working at Henson, the jokes evolved, and I won't even mention the horrible costumes in Manhatten...oh wait, I just did.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is everyone just needs to simmer down. The Muppets haven't gotten worse or better over the years. They aren't ruined. It's just that people have this memory in thier minds and nothing is ever as good as when you're are growing up.

OKay, that was my 2 cents...actually that was kinda long...really long. We'll call that my fifteen cents. Go rest your eyes.

The penguins are calling and I can't find my way out of the labyrinth.
