Claymation Oz?

Not really fond of message boards, but all these discussions intrigue me. So many people have suggested Tim Burton as director for a remake, but then there are many different opinions of actors and/or CGI characters. But with Tim Burton as a director, wouldn't the obvious way to go be to make it a claymation/stop-animation version? Plus that way you could definitely see it 1: not being compared to the Garland musical; and 2: adhering more to the tone of the book. Just thought I'd throw that out there...
