Jim Henson, I am so sorry.

For the brains that thought this would be hip and cool. I know you would never have turned The Muppets into this crap. It saddens me to think that nothing can be the same, someone has to always muck something up. The GGW and nipple referance, Jim again I am sorry. Thats just a product of todays world. I know you would never use crap or anything close to that stuff in your movies and shows. Jim I remember the first time I saw The Muppets, I was 5 years old. I loved Kermit from the start, well in fact I loved all of them. What happend to all the dreamers?

I hate to say this and I am gonna have a hard time typing this but,

The Muppets: Date of death May 20, 2005.

Look, I act and make films with strong adult matter all the time and even I was shaken at some of the content!! Here I am, a 22yr old male that acts in rated ‘R’ movies saying that this movie was an example that morals in this country are falling in a slippery slope and that this film should not be shown to anyone under the age of 12. You don’t want your 7 yr old sitting in the living room and seeing a commercial for “girls gone wild” do you? Then what’s the difference if they see it being discussed by the Muppets!!! None!! Totally inappropriate!!

Short films have ratings?

"Gee not another one of these protesters"

Protesting? I think you need to look up the word protesting, or protestor. Cause I see no protesting here.

Funny thing, I was thinking the same today.
And now I read it here.

I'm actually thinking of putting on my own puppet show.
It's gonna be hard though...

Actually I kind of agree with Tubofun on this one. I am a huge Muppet fan, and my inner child is thriving. I was thrilled to hear this film was being created, and eagerly rented the DVD to watch it recently.

I was for the most part pretty disappointed. The GGW reference and the like were just totally unnecessary in my opinion. One of the main things that I love about old school Muppet stuff (like "The Muppet Show", "The Muppet Movie", etc.) is that it's all pure humor, be it slapstick or running gags or puns or whatever. It's not sexual in any way. This film, I don't know, it didn't feel nearly as natural as the older stuff did. I'll mention by the way that I'm a huge fan of "Muppet Christmas Carol" so I'm not one of those that believes that everything is 100% crap since Jim passed.

Anyhow, just my two cents. In a way I'm glad I watched it I guess, but I certainly won't be watching it again, and I'll be warily hoping and crossing my fingers that the magic of the original episodes/movies returns with the next Muppet installment.

You know, of all the Muppets, Animal was always chasing women, he was always running after them going 'Woman! Woman! Woman!', and every HIM, Jim Henson would NEVER come up with THAT kind of dialogue for. True fans of the Muppets, I reckon by now you all remember this line, but I think we need to keep it in mind: The lovers, the dreamers, and you. That was something good, something pure, something wholesome...whoever took over for the Hensons in the Muppet movies needs their heads examined if they think this is what kids need to hear.
