It was a bit too sexy for what should be a children's movie. This was just too over the top. I know that they were trying to be very forward thinking, but Dorothy (Ashanti) was way too over done and sexy looking....BAD costuming...her singing is fine (If you like that kind of singing...I don't particularly care for it...), but her acting is just horrid. There's so much innuendo in this production that it's just embarrassing and disappointing.

And... Why wasn't Rowlf, Toto? I can't stand that stupid prawn..I think that is the worst creation in Muppet history...!

Other people complained about Dorothy being black...I don't care what color Dorothy is as long as the actress portraying her can ACT...and Ashanti is not a great actress by any stretch of the imagination.

I would totally agree with you! I only saw this version of The Wizard of Oz once on DVD and it was awful! The 1939 classic with Judy Garland playing Dorothy is WAY better than THIS!
