Cube prequel?

Is this a prequel to the Cube movies? Is this cube of this inventor the same cube as we have seen in Cube, hypercube and cube zero? I saw this movie in the videostore with the title "Cube Next", and the plotline could be a prequel, but it doesnt say anything about it. Does anybody know?
