Am I the only one who found this movie hilarious? Like at the end, where they're all stressed out and silent, you know exactly what's going through the guys head, "I had sex with my sister..." and then the girl is thinking, "My baby is going to be a retard...". As well as the old man cracked me up. Like when he walks into the sex scene with the peach all over his mouth and says "Jimmy, what 'r you doin thar?" and chews some more.

You're not the only one. I've read a couple reviews. One was good and seemed to get it but the other was terrible - and in my mind way off base. The reviewer took the drama way too seriously instead of enjoying the vibrancy of the film and how *beep* up this guy's situation is. I thought the film was hilarious. And refreshing in how the filmmakers broke the mold of a typical Canadian film. I like Canadian films but this one was ballsy; took a hyper-real approach... which I think is great. Think Fellini in backwater Canada.
shareI really liked this movie! Canadian films suck, for the most part, and this one truly broke the mold! The humor was on point and the dramatic parts were also effective. The acting, while not Oscar caliber, was very good and each character seemed believable even though they were a bit exaggerated.
I give it an 8/10.

This is just the kind of dark twisted film I like. You should also try watching Mysterious Skin, Bully, Elephant, and Gummo.
