hi my name is aaron allard, one of the director's of Hotel Torgo.

well we have 2 screenings in March, in Toronto.

1st Screening: March 5th at 1:30 pm at the National Film Board Building on 150 John St.

2nd Screening: Sometime in Late March 18-26th not sure yet, at the Hart House Theatre on the University of Toronto Campus.

also you can check out a clip here: http://www.torontoonlinefilmfestival.com/ just click gallery and the HOTEL TORGO BANNER. to see Bernie in action.

I am currently working on a somewhat special edition DVD, it should be done by early May. and i'm working on getting it on TV or with Rhino or another distributor to get it out to people. but, as for now the best thing i can do is just keep everyone updated on this board as soon as new information becomes availible.

thanks for your interest, and i hope you get to see it soon!

Very cool, Rhino would be the most excellent choice for distribution of Hotel Torgo, can't wait to see it.

I have to ask, since the description was a little vague: Bernie was the last surviving CREW member- what of the cast? Please tell me that at least someone is still alive from them, little Debbie perhaps? (snack cake pun unintended)
What of the many G.L.O.W.-like brides?

You can't sit through MANOS without wondering about the circumstances of the filming; you get the idea that it's an amazing story, and the few tidbits of information that I have gleaned on the web only intrigue me more. I just learned that three of the cast members committed suicide shortly after the film was made, including John Reynolds who played Torgo, and the exceedingly beautiful female lead.

MUST SEE THIS MOVIE! WILL PAY ANY PRICE!

reply

Holy crap I can't believe you made this movie... There are many people I know who MUST SEE IT! I don't care if its on a damn VHS, please please please get it out there, get up a website or something! Keep us posted!

reply

Yeah, I wanna see it badly!

reply

DAMN I might almost venture to give my RIGHT HAND to see this film! I think "Manos" is a tragically misunderstood film. A daring piece of experimental movie making that possesses an unique, organic creepiness. I also agree with Space Bitch, that the circumstances surrounding filming (and the lemming-like aftermath among the cast) makes "Manos" one of the most enigmatic movies of all time. I have always hungered for more knowledge about the mighty and terrible (in both senses of the word) "Manos."

PLEASE make this film available before the suspense kills me. Can there be any doubt that the Master would approve? Stop teasing us and let us all book into the Hotel Torgo.

Can't we download it from somewhere? Most of Europe, Manos still hasn't been released in DVD, I don't think, this would be, either... It would be the easiest way if you could upload it to a website, from where we can download it... Is this possible?

reply

Right enough, c'mon and release it to us fans. I'll pay for a DVD-r if it means getting to see it.¬

reply

Thank you for making this!!! I can't wait to see it!

reply

There are no words to describe how badly I want to see this film.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WE NEED THE DVD! I would pay a lot to get a hold of it.

reply

Agreed. We all need a way to be able to see this. I've seen one picture of a modern Bernie Rosenblum, and he looks like a Mexican Homless Guy. I need to confirm if that was an accurate picture of our young vibrant "Teenager in car".
