How did this major POS get anything above 3? Uwe Boll would have been proud of this, it was so bad. I'm p!ssed I just wasted over an hour of my life on this thing and it was just horrible. Top ten worst of all time for me. And I have some seriosly bad movies on it.

shareAny points? Outside of some decent, but cheesy humor, what does this have to offer? Zip. Redundant and microthin plot, if you want to call it that; mediocre acting, terrible gore effects, no suspense, nothing scary at all. Character development was very scetchy, even for a slasher/horror flick. This is a typical, but poorly executed low-budget POS horror flick. If they spent more than 5G's making this, it was too much. So what in this was redeemable at all? It works more as a dark comedy than anything and not intentionally. It's major league crap.

I personally loved it and I know alot of people did. Just because you can't find anything entertaining about it doesn't give you or anyone else the right to come in here and start calling people names because they don't happen to agree with you.
Wow. This movie sucked nuts. I can see trying to have a 'good time' watching a horror flick, but this was just stupid. Toxic Avenger is at least funny, but this was only had potential for about ten minutes. Overall this was bad. Real bad.
And the boards being here do give us the right to vent after wasting the time to sit throughtripe like this. Especially when some 'sheep' give a turd a ten. The OP is on taget.
God i hate people like u. Its like every movie has to be up for an oscar. Movies are for entertainment thats it. If the movie is boring then call it a crappy movie but this movie didnt have one boring part in it.

shareMy brothers, sisters and illegal aliens, this is not a serious horror film, and it was clearly never intended to be, so if you're someone that is not easily entertained or prefer these art house type films, don't watch this film, but if you're the type that allow yourself to be entertained, and is looking for a good time involving a large amount of gore, then go out and see this movie, otherwise, just rent HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 and leave the horror genre for the horror fans to enjoy.

Even though I own at least 40 horror DVDs, hating this piece of crap that failed on all levels (ABSOLUTELY no scares; TOTAL crap humor; HORENDOUS ending ripped off of Friday the 13th Part 1; CARDBOARD characters who I merely wanted to die as soon as possible) means that I clearly am not a horror fan. Im sorry, but this movie was wretched as both a mainstream and B movie film. Want a horror film that is fun, effective, well acted and compelling? Evil Dead, the original Wicker Man, Cabin Fever, Drag Me To Hell and Slither should suffice. Alas, as a true horror fan, I can say with total confidence that this was a wretched... WRETCHED film

Actually i can say that this is one of the best slashers i've seen. Pure fun! And i am not a tard, i am just a guy who really knows how to enjoy movies that are made just for fun.

Some random dudes claim to be the king of horror all of a sudden. I bet you all liked Michael Bay's craptacular Friday the 13th remake too. I mentioned five movies that do the B movie thing effectively and you take issue with a whopping one. Cabin Fever is NOTHING like the crap of Twilight and has Cerina Vincent nude (that's right, one of the hottest horror girls in the BUFF!) Also, it launched the career of... oh yes... ELI ROTH and the series was then taken on by Ti West, two people who can direct circles around Adam Green. If anyone is turning in their horror cards, its you and raidermike.
IMDB has plenty of simple-minded noobs trolling around it, so the 5.8 really doesn't surprise me.
Horror movies suck so much now and they probably rate it high because "Hatchet" has little competition.

are you retarded? Have you even seen a Uwe Boll film? All of his "work" is complete garbage from start to finish. If making horrible movies were a criminal offense he would be number 1 on the FBI most wanted list. "Hatchet" was a good film, not great, but good. to compare ANYTHING Boll has done to it is a huge compliment to Boll and a huge insult to it. A few years ago he did a publicity stunt where he challenged film critics who gave his films poor reviews to a boxing match (oh real tough, film critics). I wish he opened that up to the public. I would have been first in line. I would have beat him like he owed me money. He is a disgrace to any true movie fan. He started making movies for a tax write-off, a real artist. Damn he sucks. Being forced to watch his movies in an endless loop should be a punishment for violent criminals, that would surly deter crime. This movie was above average for a b-slasher, but it was a million times better than anything even associated with Uwe *beep* Boll

Yeah there's no justice OP. Movies like all four Phantasm movies struggle on this site to get decent scores. And yet other movies not worth half of what they get end up with higher scores than what they deserve. This movie included. I was hoping this movie would be rid of the final girl cliche that so many horror movies suffer from. But it doesn't get rid of it. Infact it's worse. The storyline is based on the final girl cliche.
Count me out on the second movie and also the third movie. I paid £5 for this movie in Asda the other day on a blind buy. No more. I've had enough. There is absolutelty *beep* all original about this movie series. Ben and Marcus were the only two decent characters in this accursed movie.
