No one's responded?

I am overseas, and I bought this here at a local store...holy crap is it a neat movie...
It reminds me of a 'remixed' movie of Cube, with a smattering of Donnie Darko...
If you like Cube, I highly suggest you try to get this movie.

a remixed version of cube with a smattering of donnie darko? uuuuurgh, that sounds horrible. it's probably the way they pitched this dungheap to the advertisers who persuaded you all to waste your time on it. licking people does not constitute acting. neither does talking backwards (it's a special effect, and a fully inappropriate one, too). while i'm at it, the intro sequence-what's that about? how can anyone be convinced by such shoddy computer graphics? I'm a film student (i'm ready for flak here but i'm hardly a intellectually demanding viewer - i loved the matrix, battle royale, donnie darko etc and even got a few kicks out of resident evil) and i can't stop thinking how much better they could have spent their meagre budget. dumbasses. if you haven't got enough money to make a conventional sci-fi, don't! have an imagination for crying out loud, don't just try and copy what you thought was awesome at the multiplex 2 years ago. NEWSFLASH - it wasn't, and your film is a monster turd.

NOTHING OUT OF A MILLION. WORST FILM I'VE EVER SEEN.

I liked it a lot.

I liked it. Don't expect too much from it and it turns out to be an OK viewing experience.

"il Duce ha sempre regione" (I don't guarantee the spelling, Italian is not my 1st language) was a famous edit by Mussolini.

Besides, "if you're right", why do you bother engaging with lesser faillible people?

Word to you, mr. "Art Student", it seems that you have badly failed to take on board some of the founding principles of art, such as -for instance- that it is not a matter of facts and that audience participation is a corrolative part of the equation.

...but then what do I know, eh...

reply

I like your "founding principles of art". If you coldly assess art and just spend time adding it up and subtracting it out, then you are left without any sort of human touch or response. Of course this movie probably isn't art, but it contributes and becomes part of the conversation. I'm happier for having seen it (especially since judging by the lack of messages it's maybe a bit unknown--all the better!) and it's movies like this that hopefully will put the major studios on notice. Probably not but it's the underdogs that shatter the mold, and it just takes one.

-> if you haven't got enough money to make a conventional sci-fi, don't!

Totally disagree. If we went by those standards there would be no independent movies at all. Just because it's a blockbuster big budget movie, does not make it good! I've seen a lot of people make movies with no budget and have those movies turn out much better than the standard Hollywood garbage.

What, no car chase? Must be a crap movie...
