Is this movie supposed to make sense?

I just finished watching this, along with Todd Rohal's other short films, without any emotion at all. Sometimes I found things funny, but ultimately befuddling.

Just wondering if there was an actual plot or throughline that was supposed to be followed. What was the point of anything? What happened to Donald? I don't even really care.

I imagine your state of confusion is the point of the movie. Sometimes creatives confuse obtusivness for complexity. Mistake lazy writing for minimalism. Mistake poor technical work for artistic license. But there are better examples of how confusion and multi layered interpretation work, sans David Lynch. Watch Fear X instead.
