This Game Doesn't make sense

Now as a long time bond fan, i might seem a little old fashion, but arn't all of the villians in this game dead? I understand that they are trying to attract a young crowd of new gamers, but this storyline is ridiculous. I guess Im just getting old but i still think that they should stay with the actual "bond" story. Anyone feel the same?

"Like, Bond never gets older and even gets younger as actors change."

Maybe that's their spy name in the movie and various people have been James Bond.

Except it's highly unlikely that every "James Bond" would be a martini-drinking womanizer who drops a witty remark every time he kills a badguy.

...gah The movies all take place in the same time, he is SUPPOSE to be the same age. Also: they aren't dead yet.

I don't understand your complaint. Are you saying there can never be a video game with Dr. No or Goldfinger as villians because they are "dead"?

If you are looking for an "actual" Bond story read one of the Fleming novels.

I find the premise of this video game intriguing but I am not getting my hopes up. I have been dissapointed far too many times to be excited for the next Bond game. There is only one Bond game I really liked and, this may be blasphomy, but it wasn't Goldeneye which was a great FPS but not a great Bond game; it was by far The World is not Enough which is the only Bond game that made you feel like you were in a Bond movie and not in a Rambo movie.

Sure there were levels where the automatic weapon fire was falling like rain, but there also was a level in a casino where you had to win money and a few stealth levels where you had to do some investigative and spy work. I think Bond games should feel more like Splinter Cell and less like Halo.

PS the commercial for this game was great!

What I am complaining about is that they put both Goldfinger and Scaramanga in the same game! If it was just one of them, and they hung onto the original story, it would be fine. But I agree on The World is not enough, i played it on playstation and N64, and both were good games even though the N64 game kind of stranded from the movie a tad. I can't comment on the playstation game that much because i didn't play it very much. But yeah i like more spying and espionage than playing rambo.

I agree with Rogue Agent47, this game doesn't make sense, but to me it's not for the same reason. The movie was called "GoldenEye" because of some satellite, but this is called GoldenEye because of an agent with a golden eye.The rogue agent in the game isn't even the same person as the guy from the movie.
