Is it worth watching?

I saw this movie on the shelf, but past it up because most urban, strait to DVD movies suck.

But I love Sticky Fingaz (when he's rapping)

And I love JB Smoove (when he's telling jokes)

Is this a good movie worth seeing if I want a laugh? And does JB have an extended role? - I love this guy - He's one of the most underrated comedians out there.

I watched this movie not to long ago and while I thought it was just ok, I still think it's worth a look.

There are a few laughs in it here and there but it's pretty cheesy in some parts and I was uncomfortable in some others. It's almost your less than average prodigal son coming back to save the laundromat, barbershop, hair show shop fill in the blanks but it is mostly positive. It's not very original or really outstanding in any way but somehow I still liked it.

Sticky does rap a little in this movie and JB teams up with the Latino cat for a duo trying to make it in the comedy world, but they work at the car wash, I mean gas station.

Tyson Beckford's character just annoyed me (he's in it just to "look good," no surprise to anyone), which I guess you can say the same for Natalie Dresselle's. Guess which character type she played? One guess and yes it is the big girl who's desperate for a man and can't take a hint (oh hell naw! she to' up from da flo' up...he doesn't says it quite like that, but that is the sentiment).

But hearing your cynicism about straight to DVD urban movies seems like you might not like this one, still like I say, if there is somenone you like in a movie you should usually give it a try.

Also there are some songs I really enjoyed, I stuck it out to the end and was disappointed they didn't play the complete versions.

And I was also pleased that that the Japanese girl didn't fall into the stereotypical broken english with a overdone accent I'll cook you some pork fried rice category.

I have a feeling that if you could get it in a movie deal, buy one get one free at blockbuster or somewhere that you'll be less disappointed if you really hate it.

You're cute in a Quasimodo kind of way.
