what is supposed to be funny about this film?

this is one of the worst films of uma thurman. i didnt understand why anybody
would make a movie about a woman of 37, looking 30, with a younger man. this
happens every day and is so trivial and boring...
the script is terrible, the acting miserable and the whole film a
complete waste of time. maybe somebody from the u.s.a. could explain this
to me. hey, its the year 2006 an not 1948.

Not at all. This is one of millions of movies where Uma Thurman wasn't a member of the cast or crew. Quite a few of them are worse. It doesn't even qualift as "one of the worst films that Uma Thurman never appeared in." Either you're slagging-off the wrong movie, or you've got Uma Thurman mixed up with Calista Flockhart, or (which seems the most likely) you've forgetten to take your medication again.
