what is supposed to be funny about this film?

this is one of the worst films of uma thurman. i didnt understand why anybody
would make a movie about a woman of 37, looking 30, with a younger man. this
happens every day and is so trivial and boring...
the script is terrible, the acting miserable and the whole film a
complete waste of time. maybe somebody from the u.s.a. could explain this
to me. hey, its the year 2006 an not 1948.
