Was that ever clearified in the movie, did i miss it? I apprehended that she had done something in her previous job as a nurse, to the kids..but what did she do?

Can we get the script by the net?, maybe reading we'll get an answer

And why do we absolutely need to know? I like the fact that what she did is unknown to us, it adds a little mystery... billbunny could be right, maybe she did give the wrong medication to the child, or it could be something else; every viewer can imagine what he or she wants. Why have all the answers all the time? It's always scarier when we use our imagination and make our own theory,... Good movie by the way.

You're not addressing the question. veramolko wants to know, and I'm sure a lot of us others want to know too. However, you're free to NOT know and NOT persue an answer. Don't worry, I don't think anyone will tell you, "Hey, why do you have to NOT know everything?"

reply

Because knowing everything is for the stupid and the arrogant. A wise man's cup can always hold more water, or some *beep* like that.

eheheh you are right ! i was waiting till the end of the movie hoping for that answer... but ain't explained !
Must be something related to the death of a boy, for her fault... but it said that it was a scandal... so had to be something "more"...

if someone have ideas... :P

reply

Little late, but I only saw this last night! It bugged me too, I really wanted to know. She says it was *beep* negligence' and that is was a little boy. Also in her nightmare there is blood...Looked like surgery..No idea..

reply

i think she wasn´t with the boy all the time and he probably needed some medical care and she wasn´t there to save him.if you remember, ate the end while she was at the hospital,dr robert told her that she couldn´t blame herself this time because she had been with maggie during the all process and she didn´t gave up of her.
what do you guys think?:)

reply

i agree...she somehow caused a boy to die thru negligence

but the nightmare i think is a scene from Mandy's surgery...

it was a mistake that led to a chiild's death, she said she should have told his mother it was a mistake, I can't quit figure out what the doctor said but it was something like "I do know what happened to you, **Foldertol** yes it was a mistake", the **Foldertol** bit is what I am unsure of, but I got the impression she fudged up on the kids medication that killed him.
if anyones got subtitles please try and clarify this line for me.

reply

I watched the whole scene with subtitles on and it doesn't give any more information than you guys have in this discussion. The lines you're asking about go like this:

Amy: "You know nothing about me."
Doc: "No, I don't. I don't. But I do know what happened to you. Alright? Folder told me. It was a mistake, yes?"
Amy: "It was a mistake. Yeah. Yeah, that's what I should have told-"
Doc: "C'mon."
Amy" "-told his mom. It was a mistake. No. No! It was *beep* it was *beep* negligence, Robert. It was *beep* *beep* negligence!"

Folder, by the way, is Mrs. Folder - the head of the hospital. Doesn't help much, does it? ;)

reply

I thought it was her losing a patient and blaming herself, or one dying because of a doctor's negligence and she just kept her mouth shut about what really caused the child's death.
