Is There Anybody In Here Who Did Not Feel Sorry For Helen

In my opinion, she was just a stupid housewife, who was basically leaching off of Charles' money. So, basically Charles had to take out the 'garbage' and sned it somewhere in a U-Haul truck.

Madea was just the comic relief, completely ignorable of the whole story. I just pretended that she was not there the whole duration of the movie.

Yet, ironically, I think the best (and funniest) part of the movie was when Charles got shot in the courtroom. For some strange reason he deserved it.

Maybe you didn't hear about a thing called PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT. Helen had no money and that's exactly how Charles made it because that's how he wanted it because that way he could have the power over her and throw her out without a dime. He deserved everything he got from Madea cutting up his furniture, to being shot, to Helen hitting him, yelling at him, starving him...but he deserved more.

I didn't! She wasn't to bright, In all that time she had access to so much resources she never learned how to do anything tax returns, interior decorating, wedding planning? So she goes from living in a million dollar house to waiting tables. She goes on to say she's been busy running the house with laundry & cooking, I'm pretty sure they had staff doing that. Then she decides to take it out on the one person that's trying to be nice to her, lost a lot of respect for her there.

Character she played in "Set It Off" wasn't to bright either.

Didn't feel sorry for her either. They had no kids. What the hell was she doing all day. She was so weak and helpless in this movie. i liked the movie for entertainment, but whatever message was in it, I didn't get it for Helen. She brought nothing to the table.

Backup will come if needed.....

All true, but I don't think any apologies or rationalizations were made on her behalf. She was shallow and naive in the beginning, but a lot of the story was about her growth as a human being.
I don't think we as an audience were asked to feel sorry for her necessarily.

For some strange reason you say? Yea, some strange sadistic and ruthless reason. He definitely deserved it. There's no question about it. Did you SEE the movie? He was evil and very cruel. No matter how "stupid" she was.

I don't think that part was funny but I in no way felt sorry for him.

she deserved it. I have no sympathy for women like that who leave their families because they fall in love. Whether black, asian, white, hispanic, whatever...it was no excuse how she treated her mother yet her mother was the only one that picked her up and gave her a helping hand. She was stupid. LEsson to all those idiots who think abandoning your family for love is right. Keep in mind that family members are family members till the day you die, husbands/wives might not be the same as people get divorced.

I didn't feel sorry for her after she lied to him and then dumped him in front of her family, who then dumped him as well with their asinine clapping and cheering that she was going. She was naive, but she became more shallow and ugly as the movie progressed.

Yep....she was ugly from the start and to the end. She looks like 'Madam' the puppet, from back in the day.
