Ummm....

How do I put this nicely? This movie was painful to watch. I barely made it through the end. I'm a big fan of independently produced films, so I try and rent as many as I can. The studios already get enough money, why not throw some to the little guys. Now, the downside to that you get to see some not so well produced pieces.

The writing was sloppy at best, the direction was poorly handled, and the acting was at times wooden and others seemed to have hit warp speed into melodrama. I actually asked, "Are you serious?," out loud because I couldn't believe they were trying to pass that off.

Now, keep in mind, this seems to be this guy's first film, and nobody makes a pristine piece of art their first time around. Let's not forget, he actually got this produced, so there's something to be said for that. Also, this wasn't necessarily my cup of tea to begin with, but again I wanted to support a fellow artist. (Note: Everyone should do that. Big studios eat up your money and make it hard for smaller, less commercial pieces to have the chance to be produced.) So I'm not going to hate on the guy, but I'm not gonna lie either, I thought this film was awful.

Give it a chance, maybe it's your thing, or it resonates with you somehow. Different strokes for different folks.
