Does anyone know who the woman on the plane at the end that is kind of flirting with Hek? I know I have seen her somewhere before but I can't figure out where.
My girlfriend and I thought she looked like Thandie Newton but didn't think it was actually her. If she is married to Ol Parker, then that would make sense.
Thandie may be married to Ol, but its definately not her on the plane. Its the actress the poster above mentioned! You can clearly see from the picture lol
On the director's commentary he says it's Angel Coulby and wishes they had a bigger part for her. He also says, about people that thought the ending was too sappy: "F!ck 'em". My new favorite director.
I really got a kick out of Coulby's nervous flirtation (would love it if a woman flirted with me - the more awkward the better; thought it was endearing).
I couldn't make out the last exchange between the two on the plane.
Thanks Luby. From the expression on his face I thought it was more provocative. But, that's a pretty sweet and innocent enough flirtation - believable even.
After what to me was an annoying climax in the car, the ending montage was sweet, with the back/forth on the plane particularly appreciated. Since the woman (listed as "Anna" on the actress' IMDB page) is in effect a stand-in for the director's wife, it does make sense it was so charming. Her "I can read" ... I can't believe I said that ... bit was especially sweet.
Anna is "a stand-in for the director's wife." Really? How so? Because she's black? His wife was, in fact, meant to play Rachel--but she got pregnant and Parker cast Perabo (per DVD commentary).
She was a bridesmaid in the wedding at the start, and they focused the camera on her when the best man was making his speech-joke about shagging a bridesmaid 'you know who you are'. I'm not sure about this, but I think that's where you might've seen her before!!
Yes I watched the film and if you were to watch it again, you'd see that she was present at the wedding and the best man made a joke about doing a bridesmaid and the camera focused on her. ALRIGHT! I concede the point that maybe she wasn't a bridesmaid but a guest, but that girl was there in that speech-making scene!!
