Have any men watched this movie?

I was flipping through the channels. This thing was on. Watched approximately 5 minutes... checked it here, and got to thinking: Have any men watched this? I watched the part where the main character said that she should be happy, even if not with him. Fair enough, I recognise the feeling, but didn´t they just get married? Afterwards the part where the father said that he wasn´t good enough for her mother, so if she all of a sudden fell in love with someone worthy of it (Not in those exact words, i know), she should just split of course. So another question: Was the point of the movie, that you should just be as narcissistic and egoistic as possible (if woman)?

I watched it. I don't think that's a fair question. I think the moral is don't marry someone you grew up with just cause you think you are supposed to. If she didn't fall for that chick, the marriage would have gotten stale quick. Jmo

My older brother clued me into the movie. He had watched it and liked it...but he has always had a major love affair with Lena Headley...fantasy of course.

He invited a friend and I had a few girlfriends over. Both guys are straight...their reaction to the movie was a split decision (no pun intended). Of course all the chicks loved it. Two of us are bisexual, one is totally gay, and the other...well, we're not too sure yet.

I saw it as two people who immediately fell for each other. Forget the lesbianism...one girl was straight (so she thought)and the other lesbian. As she was walking down the aisle with her gonna' be new husband, the lightning bolt struck.

I think it was love at first sight.

just finished watching it today..and i wrote a lot about my feeling on the relationships of each on the "Did you feel sorry for Hect post" … but the last paragraph i guess fits in here...

I really enjoyed this movie, not so much about the love/comedic part, but the one about life and experiences, and sometimes we see things and make them seem complicated when in reality they are so simple and easy to understand if we just stop & relax and listen.

Women, what would we do with them? Don't answer that. That's a rhetorical. If you find someone you're happy with and everything works across the board, connection, personality, and attraction, rock & roll. If two of the three work depending on which ones, well, maybe you may feel bored, unhappy, or just insecure about what your future will be. So, exactly, how much stock do you want to put on getting married too early in life? For me, that's not important.

Heck did the right thing. Wouldn't you say by staying in the marriage he was egotistical or narcissistic not letting his wife go find someone to make her happy? He realized if he thought of himself and only his wants and needs, then Rachel would have been tortured every day because she knew she was emotionally unfit to stay with Heck, knowing someone else (Luce) came into her life. Meanwhile, Heck found someone who was much more on his level anyway. In the end, the universe corrected itself.
