Soundtrack

The soundtrack to this movie will be amazing. Yay.

It's the second time I saw this movie and I enjoyed the soundtrack better than the first time ! It's always the right kind of song that will reinforce the already beautiful and/or thrilling images.

The best aspect of this movie is without any doubt the formidable camera angles. In Top Gun they mostly used cameras on the ground and special effects for the cockpit scenes. In this movie everything is shot from five cameras in a modified pod on a jet fighter and the result is absolutely breathtaking !

What are you talking about, in TopGun they are several scenes shot from a pod under the wing.

I wasn't sure so I decided to see Top Gun again. Indeed they are some scenes shot from a pod under and above the wing, but they are almost subliminal ! On the whole movie it's probably less than 30 seconds. Anyway, my point was that most of the scenes (not all of them) in top gun are shot from cameras on the ground (fly by) and from inside the cockpit (most of them probably CG : you can clearly see that it's the camera which rotates around the actor. They don't react properly to the insane aerobatics they are supposed to do. The general impression is that it doesen't feel real... But then again top gun is almost 20 years old, so I suppose the director hadn't all the technology they have for les chevaliers du ciel...

Any of you *beep* pricks move, and I'll execute every *beep* last one of ya!

It is correct that the technology was not there when they made Top Gun. So we should think of how good the movie was at that time when it came out!

You can buy the soundtrack from http://www.nineteen95.com

I bought it on its release date and it really is amazing. Im yet to see the film. The reason I bought it is because Im a huge fan of Chris Corner (he of Sneaker Pimps and IAMX..*but if your reading this thread..you probably know that*)

The Sue Denim Tracks (Robots in Disguise) are great too. 'Im the Conversation Your The Game' is rather beautiful.

Buy it!

This soundtrack is absolutely awesome!!

I bought the soundtrack via Amazon (shipped from the USA). It is amazing; evocative of the film and yet strong in itself. The mix of artists works well. Love Chris Corner's stuff with Sue Denim though. The opening track Attack 61 reminds me of the best surf/psychobilly and also The Raveonettes.
