Even though I'm American, I think this is humorous, and probably "deserved", given the many American films that demonize/villify French characters, male and female. Turnabout is fair play, lol.

OTOH, given that the French often make fun of how "prudish" American films are, I was disappointed that "Stardust" didn't take it ALL off.
