who was this Benjamin Button guy anyways?

Seriously, after having just seen this 2 1/2 hour film, I honestly have no idea who this Benjamin Button guy is.

'Cause the film honestly gives him no personality whatsoever. The whole movie is just him narrating events that are blatantly obvious in his monotone Southern accent. Beyond acting slightly dewey eyed and innocent at the start, he practically has no personality for the rest of the flick. You know there's a problem when you witness someone's entire life unfold in front of you and yet, still somehow struggle to describe the kind of person he is.

What a terrible movie from an otherwise great director.

Long story short, he was born backwards and aged backwards(outwardly). I think it all has to do with that clock you see at the end of the movie. I think when that clock went up the time went backwards and Benjamin was obviously born during that time, hence why he aged backwards.

Yeah, I know. I've seen the movie, I just don't know what kind of person Benjamin really is. Please read my OP again.

I read your OP and I answered it. Wasn't much to know about the guy than what you heard and saw.

That's kind of a big problem, don't you think? When I spent two whole hours with the guy and didn't learn anything about him beyond what I read in the plot synopsis. Makes it kind of a shit movie now, does it not?

It was a good time travel movie, but I agree it's not the best. Not one of my faves.

Brad Pitt's acting style is a little bland. I would have probably chosen a different actor to play BB. But I have to disagree, this is a very good movie. Although, very similar to Forrest Gump, I'd have to say it's better than FG. FG might be a little more entertaining but CCBB is an overall better film.
