You're dead to me now, E!

The Soup was seriously the only good show left. When I was a kid E was actually a pretty cool network, it was pretty much my intro to Howard Stern, Greg Kinnear on the original Talk Soup, even shows like E Hollywood Mysteries weren't too bad in retrospect. Hell, I'd trade Wild On for any of the shows they have today.

And meanwhile on Mushroom Hill this happened https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IlnOiJWUdo

E! turned to crap when they let Ryan Seacrest and the KarTRASHians take over their network. E! News is a joke, a blatant KarTRASHian Kommercial. The Soup was the best show on the network. Joel McHale was on a local Los Angeles radio station KROQ about a month before news of The Soup's cancellation was announced. He said the network always gave him notes to lighten up on the KarTRASHian jokes as they were the networks' bread and butter, but he ignored them. I do believe Joel's constant KarTRASHian bashing led to the series' demise.

Sounds like when Norm McDonald got fired from Saturday Night Live when he refused to stop with the O.J. Simpson jokes. Only thing is the whole show got canned, not just Joel.

I hope that "bread and Butter" now is the thing that causes that damn channel
s downfall and leads to them selling it and changing their names like ABC "Family" and the Hub did.

The whole Kardashian thing in general makes me ashamed to be an American.

Here you have one chick, who is only famous for spreading her legs for a nobody rapper on video camera, who isn't even that hot and has zero personality and an annoying voice somehow manages this empire for doing nothing and her family is somehow famous too.

Cause her mother basically sold her and her family's (with the possible exception of Bruce/Caitlyn, who managed to get out) souls to the devil in exchange for fame and money, money, money. That "woman" don't care a rat's ass about her daughters and doesn't even see them as people. To her, they're just dollar signs!

Bruce/Cait is no exception. He's a fame whore now, too. He is relishing the spotlight. He told Barbara Walters that during his run on the Keeping Up with the KarTRASHians, he was always forced in the background while the focus was on Kim and her dead-behind-the-eyes sisters, while he was the REAL story.

reply

Well, at least HE alone is relishing the spotlight and he's not forcing his daughters and step-daughters into it. Kris basically forced all of her daughters into becoming plastic, body-selling wholes just so SHE can pocket the profits!

You tell me what's worse, someone who relishes the spotlight for themselves, or someone who whores out their children and pushes them into the spotlight so said parent can pocket the money?

Yeah E has really changed since I was younger, or even since The Soup first aired. It's all reality shows now- but mostly about people who are already rich & snobby. Like Rich Kids of Beverlly Hills, which made my stomach turn a little because those people were so snobby, it was boarderline unwatchable. The Soup was good for the network because it made fun of shows like that, but now it's just pure reality shows, The Royals & E news, etc.

-How many times do you have to make the same mistake?

It changed A LOT since I was a kid, where it wasn't that bad. Their programming now is just ATROCIOUS catering to the brain-dead. The Soup was the only reason I watched that awful channel but as long as they have the Kartrashians, then they figure that's all they need.

Let's hope this channel crashes and burns just like G4 and Style did!

G4 use to be so GOOD! I loved Portal, Red vs. Blue and X-Play (back when it was good with Adam Sessler). Never watch Attack of the Show though (kinda thouught it was boring). But I don't know WTF happened with that channel because all the sudden things just fell apart gradually. They stopped airing some of their shows, Adam left and Attack was their primary show. Then Esquire bought it up, i guess, and the changed the name then it just disappeared completely. That was a sad day for gamers.

As long as E! has those horrible hoes on the air, and the daft and dumb lap them up, then it's not going anywhere. Unfortunately.

While I'm not "officially boycotting," The Soup was the only E show I watched, so I guess I'm out. I can't believe you cancel this, but you perpetuate the K crap. I honestly do not get it.

reply

Kris Jenner must have bribed the Head of E! or something to get them to take off The Soup cause it was insulting her family.

I was actually thinking that as I watched the final episode (which I thought was crap, btw). There was a noticeable lack of mention of any of the K/Js. I think he mentioned each once, very briefly, lumped together, and that was it. I thought it was very strange considering how much of his show they have saturated. 

It was the best they could do for a final episode! Especially if they were forbidden to make any more jokes about Kris "I-Sold-My-Soul-For-Money-And-Fame" Jenner and her family! Like I said it was shades of Saturday Night Live when they fired Norm McDonald when he refused to stop with the OJ jokes.

They weren't forbidden from making any jokes on the final episode. They wanted the final episode to be a tribute to their 11 years on the air and not a tribute to the KarTRASHian family. They did focus clips of them and Joel made a joke that his constant KarTRASHian bashing had nothing to do with E! cancelling The Soup.
