Bluray release?

I would love a bluray release of the original FA. I already own Brotherhood and watch it every few months, I love the series. I have the DVD collection (Season One and Two DVD collection w/ booklets) on my Amazon Wishlist, I have been waiting for the price to go down a little further.

I think the original series has a great look to it, the animation is very organic and has a great 'look' to it. A blu-ray transfer could ruin this look, but I would enjoy seeing what the finishing product would look like. Another thing that would be cool is to change the 4:3 ratio to 16:9 so it fills the screen. I watched the series originally on Netflix, I don't remember what ratio it had on there. As of right now, I watch the original FA on my hard-drive, so I have no idea if the DVD corrects it.

Anyways, I wanted to hear what you people would think about a blu-ray release.

I know this is an old post but I read somewhere a few weeks ago that they released a bluray transfer for the original FMA. I think I remember going on Japan's Amazon and seeing it go for over $1000.

I came on here hoping someone might have bought it or at least tell something about it.
