Sitcom vehicle for mental illness?

Well, might as well get the sitcom deflowering of mental illness issues over with with a show like this. Looks like crap. If it does indeed deal with mental illness, let this one take the fall that most groundbreaking shows suffer. The ads seem more intriguing than one episode will likely be.

Actually, this is not the first sitcom to deal with mental illness. There have been numerous sitcoms with mentally ill characters. However, the degree and type of illness of these can be debated (Newhart for example had mentally ill patients, as does Scrubs). I'm interested to know why you think the show looks like crap. In my opinion it seems like a good leadin to Scrubs on NBC Tuesday with its quirky sense of humor and "different" premise. Also, most groundbreaking shows don't suffer. The fact that a show is a success is why most groundbreaking shows are different. They are able to take new situations and build a strong audience and win ratings. You are confusing groundbreaking with cult.

I went to the filming of the second episode of the show and it was pretty coo. I dont know how long it will last, but we should just give it a chance and see what happens. most people tought seinfeld was stupid and look at it now. INstead of judging something that hasnt even been seen by anyone is stupid.
