Committed fans...what are you watching now?

Strangely enough, I haven't seen a single episode of "Close to Home"...maybe because I think it would break my heart to see Jennifer Finnigan being completely serious. :D

As for me, "How I Met Your Mother" (Mondays at 8:30, CBS) seems to have filled some of that niche--the leads aren't as neurotic as Marni and Nate, but the supporting characters, particularly Neil Patrick Harris and Alison Hannigan playing toned-down versions of their characters in Harold & Kumar and American Pie respectively, are a hoot, and the romcom aspects of the show have that warm fuzziness "Committed" had. It's the closest thing there is to "Committed" nowadays, though that isn't saying much...but it's genial, goodhearted, funny and romantic--the best sitcom with a laugh track this year.

I've also caught a few episodes of "My Name is Earl," (Tuesdays at 9, NBC) and I can't help but notice that it would have been a much better match with "Committed," both being "feelgood" comedies. That's not to say that I don't appreciate "The Office" for what it is, but it's really what I'd call a "feelbad" comedy.

I threw out my tv when Committed was cancelled.

Nothing really, isn't that sad? My Name is Earl is the only show I've been committed to this year. I was very sad that Committed was canceled, it was a show that my husband and I both enjoyed watching together.

I find Scrubs delightfully hilarious, and would recomend it to anyone. I would say they are both "feelgood" comedies.

"It smells like hot dogs."
