Anyone read The Dark Tower books
You think Guy Pearce resembled anyone from those books? Remind you of a certain gunslinger or was it just me?

Yeah, if they make movies of The Dark Tower, I nominate Guy Pearce or Viggo Mortenson to play Roland. I'd prefer Viggo, though.
And while I think this film approaches the exact feel of "The Gunslinger," I think the later books become much less bleak and more colorful and entertaining, and I would expect the movies to do so as well.
Yeah, its very Gunslinger. I have to say though, i'm with S-M on this one. Whilst Guy Pearce has a certian Roland quality to him, Viggo pretty much is him in A History of Violence.
shareWhile I don't doubt Guy Pearce could pull off Roland to near-perfection, I always pictured Daniel Day-Lewis for some reason.
