I saw the preview before "The Squid and the Whale" and Joan Plowright's performance looks phenomonal, not that I expected any less. Could this be an Oscar for her? Or at leat a nomination? It seems like too low profile a movie, but I would love to see Joan in the nomination seat again. She's a great actress who should be recognized.

i agree with you totally i saw the trailer and found it to be her best performance to date.

Did you know that this movie is actually her first starring role? Really! She is absolutely wonderful in this movie. In fact, there is not a bad performance to be seen. I would love to see her nominated for this movie.
