Castle in film

Does anyone know what Castle that Mrs. Palfrey, Ludo, and his girlfriend visited? I am planning a holiday to England and it looked so lovely, I thought of visiting it. Thanks!!!

I thought it was Beaulieu also, but can't find any info about the larger-than-life statue group of figures in long capes with hats at Beaulieu. Help, anyone!!

And it's pronounced byew-lee. (There'll always be an England!)

I found out that they were there for only a few months (spring to fall) and the filmmakers were fortunate to have had them there.

Too bad, isn't it?

I have just spent the last half hour trying to figure this out! .... so thanks for the information. I had to watch this twice, it was so wonderful.

And does anyone know about the painting (or film poster) in Ludo's flat? title? artist? It reminded me a little of "Lady in the Water" but I don't think it's that. The face reminds me of the young boy who I have recently seen in a previews for "Peter Pan".

I'm also interested in the name of the castle.

Beaulieu Castle. An hour from London. In Beaulieu.

An hour from London, maybe by helicopter!

It is actually almost on the South coast in Hampshire about and hour and a half by train from Waterloo Station, London to Brockenhurst Railway Station then you still need to get to Beaulieu itself by local bus or taxi!

There is plenty to do there Motor museum, castle, gardens and more - it is years since I have been but I remember only having time to see a small part of it, which in my case focussed on the vintage cars - probably the best collection in the UK with lots of other interesting vehicles.

http://www.flickr.com/search/show/?q=Beaulieu ( Some of the pictures on that link are from Beaulieu sur Dordogne, France https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Beaulieu%20sur%20Dordogne%2C%20France &oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=f irefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=wl I hope you can work out the difference!
